Firm Estimates Staggering Numbers In Home Depot Breach

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Home Depot hasn't yet revealed the scope of the breach on its payment data systems,but one company says it has a pretty good idea.
Sixty million victims could suffer up to three billion dollars in fraudulent charges. That's the analysis of BillGuard after the five-month attack on Home Depot's computers.
The bank and credit card tracking app company says about one in every ten accounts exposed to the criminals will see charges they didn't make land on their statements -- an average of more than $330 in bogus buys for every account.
BillGuard says its users already are seeing fraudulent charges from $5 to tens of thousands from both brick-and-mortar and online stores.
