Firefighters Battle Blaze At Camden County Apartment Complex

VOORHEES, NJ (CBS) – Firefighters battled a multi-unit blaze in Camden County on Wednesday.

The fire broke out in the 296 Building on Echelon Road in Voorhees around 9:45 a.m. and was placed under control a few hours later.

The Red Cross says it is assisting 10 displaced families.

Echelon Road was closed to traffic as crews battled the fire. Motorists were urged to use Lucas Lane, Burnt Mill Road or Rt. 561 instead.

While no one was injured, a dog reportedly died in the blaze.
