PHILADELPHIA (CBS)
- The Philadelphia Fire Department says one person died in a blaze at a residence in East Mount Airy.

Crews were called out to the two-story building on 1200 block of Cardeza Street, just after 8:15 a.m. Thursday.

Fire officials say an adult who was found inside the home died from smoke inhalation. Firefighters had trouble getting to the second-floor of the home.

Officials say there were lots of things stored inside the home which caused the fire to go longer.

The house did not have smoke detectors.

It's unclear how the fire started.

The fire was placed under control around 9:45 a.m.
