Firefighter Sustains Minor Injuries In North Philadelphia House Fire

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) --- A firefighter was taken to the hospital with minor injuries after battling a house fire on in North Philadelphia.

Fire crews responded shortly before 5:30am Saturday morning after reports of a fire in the 3rd floor of a house on West Lehigh Avenue.

One firefighter was taken to Temple Hospital with injuries that didn't appear to be serious.

The fire was placed under control shortly after 7am.

The American Red Cross responded to the fire to assist six people who were affected or displaced.
