Fire Rips Through Germantown Home

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Crews battled a fire at a home in the Germantown section of Philadelphia early Friday morning.

The blaze began around 1 a.m. at the home on the 5600 block of Bloyd Street.

It took crews just under an hour to place the fire under control. The windows were boarded up, making things more difficult for firefighters

The blaze flared back up briefly, but was quickly controlled again.

There were initial reports of a person trapped, but officials say there were no injuries.

Crews are still investigating how the fire started.
