Fire Rips Through Dry Cleaners In West Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Investigators are searching for the cause of a fire that ripped through a dry cleaning business late Saturday night in West Philadelphia.

The flames broke out shortly after 11 p.m. at Walter Gerbron Cleaners at 55th Street and Cedar Avenue in the Cobbs Creek section of the city.

Fire officials say the apartments above the cleaners were vacant, but surrounding homes were damaged by the blaze.

The American Red Cross was assisting 15 people from three families who were displaced by the fire.

There were no injuries reported.
