3 Rescued From Lower Merion House Fire

LOWER MERION, Pa., (CBS) – Three people have been taken to the hospital following a fire on the Main Line.

Fire and police agencies arrived to a home on Raynham Road in Lower Merion, Montgomery County to find heavy flames on the second floor.

CBS 3 is told reports of the fire came in at about 11:55 p.m. Tuesday, and upon arrival, fire crews noted heavy fire upstairs and in at least one of the home's bedrooms.

"Police arrived on location, they had fire showing on the second floor. Police officers pulled two people out from the front on arrival. The fire department went in and found another victim on the second floor," said Lower Merion Fire Department Acting Chief Frank Hand.

Fire crews were able to bring the fire under control within 20 minutes.

All three victims were taken to the hospital, one with reports of smoke inhalation.  Their conditions are unknown at this time.

The fire is under investigation.

There is no word on the cause of the blaze.
