Fire Heavily Damages Under-Construction Apartment Complex In Berks County
LOWER HEIDELBERG TOWNSHIP, Pa. (CBS) -- A massive fire has destroyed an apartment complex that was under construction in Berks County.
The fire started at about 3:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Legacy at the Papermill apartment complex at Paper Mill Road and Spring Ridge Drive in Lower Heidelberg Township.
The building, which was under construction, was intended to be a senior living facility.
The fire reached three alarms before it was placed under control.
Fire officials say the building sustained extensive damage.
There were no reports of any injuries.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
