Fire Guts Home In Kennett Square
KENNETT SQUARE, Pa. (CBS) -- Fire ripped through a home overnight in Kennett Square, Chester County.
Flames broke out around 12 a.m. Tuesday at a single family home in the 1000 block of Kaolin Road.
Crews arrived to heavy flames and smoke coming from the roof of the house, and also had to battle the cold and ice.
Officials say the family was able to escape safely before firefighters arrived, but the fire caused the roof to collapse and gutted much of the home.
An antique Ford Mustang inside the garage was also damaged but officials believe the family may be able to salvage some items in certain areas of the house.
There were no injuries reported.
There was no immediate word on what sparked the blaze.
