Fire Destroys Salt Trucks, Snow Plows In Pennsylvania Town

INDUSTRY, Pa. (AP) -- A fire has destroyed all of the snow plows and salt trucks in a Pennsylvania borough days before a winter storm is supposed to strike.

It happened early Friday in a municipal storage facility in Industry, Beaver County. Officials said their salt supply was also destroyed.

Fire Chief Chuck Ward said they'll have to rely on help from neighboring towns this weekend, when a storm is expected to bring snow and ice to the area.

There was no one inside the building at the time of the fire and no injuries reported.

The building is a complete loss. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
