Festival Of Story Telling Kicks Off This Week In Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The 13th annual First Person Arts Festival kicks off on Tuesday in Philadelphia.

First Person Arts is a non-profit that focuses in on the person by providing a platform for storytelling.

"We believe that everybody has a story," says Jamie J. Brunson, executive director of First Person Arts.

Brunson says their annual festival brings in professional storytellers, musicians, actors and more to take the stage over the course of 11 days to discuss issues like communication, addiction, dating and more.

"We've got British comedian Ruby Wax coming in. And for all of the Earth Wind and Fire fans, Phillip Bailey!
He has a new memoir and we're having him at Mother Bethel AME Church. We're going to welcome him in a very Philly way with a musical tribute."

Other highlights include Top Chef Masters Star Marcus Samuelsson telling stories and serving food at Le Meridian Hotel opening night.

The festival runs through November 15.
