Female Neighbor Charged With Arson In Fire That Destroyed Detective's Home In Montgomery County

LOWER POTTSGORVE TOWNSHIP, Pa. (CBS) -- State and local law enforcement officials have announced an arrest in connection with an arson fire in Lower Pottsgrove Township Thursday morning.

Fifty-two-year-old Donna Krupp is charged with arson, recklessly endangering another person and related crimes in connection with the fire on Commons Drive.

The fire destroyed the home of a police officer, who was Krupp's neighbor. The officer and his family were on vacation at the time of the blaze.

A collaborative investigation by state police, the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office and township police led to physical and video evidence confirming that the fire was intentionally set.

Donna Krupp was taken into custody and is being held on $1-million cash bail.
