One Dead After Tractor-Trailer Overturns Onto Car On Pennsylvania Turnpike

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – One person is dead and another was injured after a tractor-trailer overturned onto a car along the Pennsylvania Turnpike (I-276) in Bucks County.

It happened around 3 p.m. Monday along the eastbound lanes between the Willow Grove and Bensalem exits.

Authorities say a tractor-trailer overturned onto another vehicle, trapping several people inside.

One person was pronounced dead on the scene and another person was rushed to the hospital in unknown condition.

The truck was carrying 20,000 pounds of soup.

All eastbound lanes of the Turnpike were shut down as a result of the crash.
