The Most Talked About Topics On Facebook In 2015

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Which topics did you find yourself talking about the most on social media this year?

The U.S. Presidential election was the most talked about global topic on Facebook in 2015, according to the social networking website.

The Nov. 13 attacks in Paris and the Syrian civil war and refugee crisis were also among the most talked about topics, according to Facebook.

In the United States, the U.S. Presidential election, marriage equality and the Charleston shooting and flag debate were among the top three of the 10 most-talked topics on Facebook.

Facebook also complied top 10 lists of politicians, movies, TV shows, entertainers, athletes and places, among other topics.

Berks County's Taylor Swift was the second most talked about entertainer globally, with Ed Sheeran at No. 1 and Kanye West at No. 3.
