Facebook Community Tries To Brighten Birthday a Bit For Son of Slain Philadelphia Cop

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- At Sunday's memorial service for slain Philadelphia police officer Robert Wilson III, the upcoming birthday of his son was noted by the priest leading the service, who asked, "What do you say to him tomorrow?"

A Facebook group has responded.

Quahmier Wilson turned ten years old today, just four days after the death of his father during a shootout with robbers at a North Philadelphia video game store.

By Monday afternoon, the page, "Happy Birthday to Happy Birthday to Officer Robert Wilson III('s) son Quamir (sic)," had more than 1,200 "likes" on Facebook.

There's not much information on who created the page or what will happen to the page after today, but the description says, "Let's share this page so we can have as many as we can say Happy Birthday to Officer Robert Wilson III('s) son, Quamir."

Officer Wilson was killed in a GameStop where he was buying a video game for his son, Quahmier, for his birthday and as a reward for good grades.
