Experts: Gas Prices Will Continue To Drop

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – First they were up, now they're down.

Now, experts say, gas prices continue to take a plunge.

After a month of increasing prices, AAA says the cost of gas has dropped for the past 10 days, and it should keep falling into the spring and summer months.

In fact, the average could reach the $2 per gallon mark nationwide.

That could say the average household more than $700 on fuel.

The national average for a gallon of regular is $2.42 right now -- $1.12 less than this time last year.

In Pennsylvania, drivers are still shelling out $2.59. In New Jersey, it's $2.22, and in Delaware, $2.33.
