Ex-Firefighter Facing Porn Sentence Pleads Guilty To Arson

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — A former Philadelphia-area volunteer firefighter already sentenced to 28 years on child pornography convictions has now pleaded guilty to setting three fires with a 17-year-old accomplice.

The Delaware County Daily Times reports that 21-year-old John Corcoran IV, of Glenolden, faces potentially decades in prison when he's sentenced Dec. 12. He pleaded guilty last week to three counts each of corruption of minors and conspiracy to commit arson for fires set in vacant homes from May to July 2014.

Corcoran was sentenced Oct. 14 in federal court in Philadelphia after pleading to 21 child pornography counts in July.

Corcoran still faces 223 child molestation and related charges in state court. County prosecutors say the former Goodwill Fire Company No. 1 member molested more than a dozen boys he lured with toys and money.
