'Epic Hollywood Soundtracks' At Verizon Hall

By RJ McKay

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Michael Krajewski, the music director and conductor of the Philly Pops, shared a brief preview of "Epic Hollywood Soundtracks" on April 10th through April 12th at Verizon Hall.

"In the 'Epic Hollywood' program, we're going to be exploring some of the greatest music from some of the legendary movies -- 'Gone with the Wind' from 1939, and coming up to more modern movies like 'Pirates of the Caribbean' and 'Avatar,' 'Lord of the Rings' and everything in between," he said.

Krajewski also discussed what he was looking for when he put the program together.

"I wanted to choose not only music from the big films, but big films that had really great music, and really highlight some of the great movie composers," he explained.
