Employee Injured After Falling Off NJ Mall Carnival Ride

VOORHEES, N.J. (CBS) – Police say a maintenance worker was injured Sunday after he fell off a swing ride at a carnival in the Voorhees Town Center.

This happened just after 5 p.m. at the mall located in Voorhees  Township, New Jersey.

According to police, the 33-year-old victim fell off some scaffolding while working to repair the ride. He was said to be conscious after the fall and was taken to Cooper Medical Center. He has since been released from the hospital.

The carnival manager says the ride was closed Sunday because of heavy winds.
