Emergency Crews Called To St. Charles Seminary For Report Of Small Fire

WYNNEWOOD, Pa. (CBS) -- Pope Francis wasn't the only one who made a visit to St. Charles Borromeo Seminary on Saturday. On the night the pope arrived for his stay at the Seminary in Wynnewood, Delaware County, firefighters were forced to make an emergency trip there.

Officials say the Lower Merion Fire Department received a call around 10:45 p.m. for a potential fire in an elevator shaft in the kitchen of the Seminary.

Fire crews arrived and declared the situation there safe a short time later.

There were no injuries and no evacuations.

The pope and the his staff were not impacted by the incident.

There was no word on what caused the hazard.
