Elderly Man Killed In 4-Vehicle Crash In Mercer County

LAWRENCE TWP., N.J. (CBS) – Police say an 87-year-old man is dead following a crash involving four cars Sunday afternoon in Lawrence Township, Mercer County.

This happened around 3:45 p.m. on Federal City Road overtop the Route 95 overpass.

Police say vehicle of the elderly victim, identified as Walter Guelchar, struck three vehicles as his car went into the opposite lane of travel. Guelchar was pronounced dead on the scene.

The driver and passenger in one of the vehicles were taken to the hospital. Their conditions are not known at this time. The drivers of the other two vehicles involved were not injured.

Anyone who witnessed the accident is asked to call detectives at 609-844-7133 as the investigation is ongoing.
