Police: 80-Year-Old Man Found Dead Inside Port Richmond Home Stabbed Multiple Times

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Police say an elderly man died after being stabbed multiple times inside his Port Richmond home Wednesday night.

Philadelphia Police say they were called to the home on the 2500 block of East Lehigh Avenue around 9:30 p.m. Inside they found an 80-year-old man on the kitchen floor, bleeding profusely.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say the man was stabbed multiple times.

Officers say the man lived in the home with his family. Neighbors say he was a beloved member of their community.

So far, there is no word on why someone may have attacked the man.

No arrests have been made.
