VOORHEES, N.J. (CBS) -- Students across the area are showing their support to raise gun violence awareness following last week's deadly school shooting in Florida.

Students Stage Walkouts To Remember, Protest After Florida School Shooting

Students at Philadelphia High School for Girls stood for a 17-minute moment of silence in honor of the 17 victims killed at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School last Wednesday.

In South Jersey, some students at Eastern Regional High School staged a walkout to raise awareness about gun violence.

Some students walked out of class Wednesday afternoon.
