13th Annual East Passyunk Car Show Popular Tradition In South Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The 13th annual East Passyunk Car Show and Street Festival got motors revving Sunday.
"I believe that this is the only car show on the streets of Philadelphia, and we're five blocks long," said executive director Pam Zenzola.
More than 200 cars from hot rods, to antiques, to custom rides and motorcycles were on display in South Philadelphia.

The car show was organized by the Northeast Philadelphia Muscle Car Club, the East Passyunk Business Improvement District, and Jefferson Health Methodist Hospital.
Trophies were awarded in dozens of categories, like best engine and best paint.
The popular event was in such high demand, organizers had to turn away dozens of vehicles at Sunday morning's first-come, first-served registration.
"We got here early and most of the cars couldn't get in because it was already filled up," said Herman Roundtree.
Herman Roundtree's 1965 Austin Healey 3,000 has been a show stopper all day.
"It's all done up by me. I had it almost 30 years and it was always garage kept," said Roundtree.
Car enthusiast, Stuart Fullwood of Lansdale, calls Herman's candy-red convertible his favorite.
"I really like the spokes," said Fullwood. "It's got the original knock offs, so spin the hubs and replace them, put them on take them off, and the thing I like about it the most is the real wood dash."
An admiration that many like Fullwood will remember and cherish until next year.
