Early Morning South Philadelphia Fire Leaves Three Injured

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A fire broke out at a home on the 2600 block of Manton street early Sunday morning.

The fire was called in around 2:30 AM and was placed under control by 3 AM.

According to Fire Commissioner Adam Theil, two adults and one infant were injured in the fire and were transported to area hospitals in stable condition.

Red Paw reports one cat was found dead and one pit bull was rescued from the basement of the home.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
