Early-Morning Flames Destroy West Philadelphia Home

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Philadelphia firefighters worked to put out flames that gutted a home in West Philadelphia. Calls came in around 5:30 a.m. on Sunday for reports of a home on fire near 52nd and Chancellor Streets.

Firefighters were able to place the flames under control in less than an hour.

There is no word on whether anyone was in the home when the fire happened.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
