Eagles Sign Zach Ertz To Five-Year Extension

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The Philadelphia Eagles have agreed to a five-year contract extension with tight end Zach Ertz, the team announced on Monday.

"I love Philly," Ertz wrote on his blog. "My family loves it. I love how passionate Eagles fans are about their football, how they live and breathe it. I put a lot of pressure on myself to be the best, and our fans want us to be successful as much as we want to be successful."

Ertz's deal is reportedly worth $42.5 million, with $20 million guaranteed.

Ertz, 25, was the Eagles' 2013 second round pick. He has 169 catches for 2,024 yards and nine touchdowns in his career. He will address the media at 1:00 p.m.
