Eagles Sign Paul Turner To Active Roster

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Eagles fans' favorite undrafted receiver is joining the team!

Preseason star wide out Paul Turner has been signed to the active roster, Doug Pederson announced on Monday.

Turner, 23, is an undrafted rookie receiver out of Louisiana Tech, catching just 87 passes for 1,171 yards and seven touchowns in two years combined. The 5'10", 195-pound Turner, who runs a 4.55, caught 15 balls for 144 yards in four preseason games.

The decision to add Turner to the active roster comes on the day after the Eagles' receivers had a terrible game, most noticeably Nelson Agholor who continues to struggle. Agholor dropped a ball and committed an illegal formation penalty negating a touchdown in the Eagles' loss to the Seahawks.

"I'm gonna wait until after I talk with Nelson and I'm gonna wait to see where we're at in the week and make that decision down later in the week," Pederson said when asked about benching Agholor on Monday. "We've got a longer week and I just want to see where he's at."

The 5-5 Eagles host the 4-6 Packers on Monday Night Football in Week 12.
