Eagles Select OL Isaac Seumalo With 3rd Round Selection

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — The Philadelphia Eagles have selected Oregon State offensive lineman Isaac Seumalo in the third round with the 79th pick in the NFL draft.

Seumalo, 6-foot-4 and 303 pounds, started at right guard and left tackle last year and also played center and right tackle during his three seasons in college. He missed 2014 with an injury. Seumalo is the first offensive lineman selected by Philadelphia since Lane Johnson in the first round of the 2013 draft.

Seumalo was the Eagles' first pick Friday night. They didn't have a second-round pick because they traded it to the Rams last year along with Nick Foles for Sam Bradford.

The Eagles traded up twice to No. 2 to draft North Dakota State quarterback Carson Wentz on Thursday night.
