Eagles Receive 2015 Fourth Round Pick From Bills
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) --- Thanks to Bryce Brown and Stevie Johnson both having bad seasons, the Eagles will receive a 2015 fourth-round draft pick from the Buffalo Bills.
During last year's draft, the Eagles traded Brown to the Bills and in a separate trade, the Bills sent WR Stevie Johnson to the San Francisco 49ers. The Eagles received a conditional pick from the Bills, which was determined by the success of Brown and Johnson.
According to Bleeding Green Nation, the Eagles received a 2015 fourth-round pick from the Bills because Stevie Johnson did not meet production-based conditions in San Francisco in 2014 and Bryce Brown did not meet production-based conditions in Buffalo in 2014.
If both players met their production-based conditions, the Eagles would have received a 2016 third-round pick. If Johnson met production-based conditions and Brown did not, the Eagles would have received a 2016 fourth-round pick.
To sum it up, Chip Kelly and the Eagles will now have eight picks to play with in this year's NFL draft.
