Christina Weiss Laurie is president of the Eagles Charitable Foundation. She says this is a cause important to her family.

"It's just such a joyful occasion. It's also a place where families can share their stories and find out more about what is available in the Philadelphia region," she said.

Weiss Laurie says there is much more that still has to be done.

"There's so much more research that's needed."

Players and cheerleaders lead a number activities on the field, so families can have fun without fear of being judged.

"An event like this is great because everyone is here for the same cause. Awareness is high here, and the kids feel more comfortable here, as do the parents," family member John said.

Money from the event will go toward research and raising autism awareness.
