Eagles Fans Spend Thanksgiving In Enemy Territory, Cheering On The Birds In Dallas

By Mike DeNardo

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) --- Not everyone is going home for the holidays. Some Eagles fans are winging their way to Dallas, for the Thanksgiving showdown with the Cowboys.

The Thanksgiving Eagles-Cowboys game has been on the NFL schedule for months. But with first place at stake, Eagles fan Eric Commiso only decided a few days ago to fly to Dallas.

"Last Monday. We saw how big it was -- number one's on the line, so you've got to go if you can," he said. "We could, and we came."

Jennifer Price and her boyfriend also decided to spend their holiday cheering the Birds. "We're hardcore Eagle fans. So it's basically a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, so we decided to go!"

Fans say an Eagles win will make that Thanksgiving dinner on the road a little easier to digest.
