Eagles Release CB Daryl Worley After His Arrest

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Eagles' release cornerback Daryl Worley just hours after police say he was arrested on DUI and gun charges Sunday.

Officials say Worley posted a bail of $25,000, but he only had to pay a tenth of it which was $2,500.

Worley was charged with violation of the uniform firearms act, driving under the influence, disorderly conduct-fighting and other related offenses.

It was at Broad and Pattison Streets around 6 a.m. when police say the 23-year-old Philadelphia native was combative and taken into custody after he was found sleeping in his vehicle, apparently in the middle of the road.

Authorities say they also found a gun in his car.

Well-known Philadelphia defense attorney, Fortunato Perry, says he will represent Worley.

Worley was acquired by the Eagles in a trade last month.
