For Second Straight Week, Cataldi Delivers Pies To Eagles
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Last Thursday, Angelo Cataldi resumed his tradition of delivering pies to the Philadelphia Eagles.
See in 2013, during Chip Kelly's first season with the Eagles, Cataldi delivered pies to the team during their final seven games. And they won six.
On the Monday before the Eagles' difficult test in New England against the Patriots -- following three straight losses -- Kelly asked the 25-year 94WIP radio host if he can bring the pie tradition back.
Cataldi accepted the request and shockingly, the Eagles upset the defending champs 35-28 in Foxborough. The next day, Kelly called Cataldi the "Pied Piper of positivity," giving him credit for the victory.
So, for the second Thursday in a row, Cataldi headed to the NovaCare Complex with three pies -- a pecan, a blueberry, and a cherry -- ahead of Sunday's Eagles-Bills game.
