Eagles Agree To Terms With Jeremy Maclin On 1-Year Contract

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The Philadelphia Eagles have agreed to a one-year deal with wide receiver Jeremy Maclin, the team announced Friday afternoon.

Terms of the deal were not immediately known. A news conference was held Friday afternoon at the NovaCare Complex in South Philadelphia to formally announce the deal.

"I'm excited to be able to help this team get to the next level. You know, I think this is a place where I can showcase my skills and I'm comfortable around all my teammates and guys that have been here. I think this is just the right spot for me," Maclin said.

Maclin, the team's first-round pick in 2009, tore his ACL during training camp last year and missed the entire 2013 season.

Maclin, 25, had 69 receptions for 857 yards and seven touchdowns during the last season he played, which was in 2012.

Maclin's signing capped a busy week for the Eagles wrapping up their own talent with contracts. Tackle Jason Peters, center Jason Kelce and wide receiver Riley Cooper all signed new contracts with the team in the past week.
