Eagles Add OL Tanner Hawkinson, Release Julian Vandervelde

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The Eagles addressed their offensive line with a roster move on Tuesday. The team announced the signing of offensive lineman Tanner Hawkinson, and the release of offensive lineman Julian Vandervelde.

Hawkinson comes to the Eagles from the 49ers practice squad.

He was taken by the Bengals in the fifth round of the 2013 NFL Draft. He appeared in four games with Cincinnati during his first two years in the league. The Bengals waived Hawkinson in September before he latched on with the 49ers.

The University of Kansas product is 6'5", 300 lbs.

Vandervelde resigned with the Eagles on September 28, but was not active for either game this season since his return.
