Dump Truck Crash Shuts Down I-495 In Delaware; Driver Injured

WILMINGTON, Del. (CBS) - Police say a single-vehicle crash involving a tractor-trailer shut down a major roadway in Delaware overnight and left one person injured.

The accident happened just before 2:45 a.m. on southbound I-495 near 12th street in Wilmington.

I-495 was closed in both directions for several hours due to the jackknifed tractor-trailer, but all lanes are now reopen.

Police say the force of the crash separated the tractor portion of the truck from the dump portion and the tractor portion crossed into the northbound lanes.

The driver of the truck is reportedly being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
