Protests In Philadelphia Timed For Evening Rush

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Police say protesters are planning a "Day of Action" Thursday afternoon with several demonstrations and possible road blockages along Broad Street.

Authorities say at 2 p.m., there is a protest planned against Temple University's plan to build a stadium. That group plans to move to Broad and Cecil B. Moore at 3 p.m.

At 4 p.m., police say, members of Philadelphia Coalition for Racial, Economic and Legal Justice will host a "Day of Rage."

The location for that gathering includes Broad and Girard, authorities say.

At 5 p.m., Fight for 15 and others will gather at 1401 Arch Street for a rally supporting union rights and a minimum wage increase to $15 an hour.

Police say there will be delays in and around the vicinity of these protests.

Officers will be directing traffic.
