Drybar Founder Alli Webb on better blowouts, her first book, and bringing her big-name shop to Philly.

"When we first started I knew we wanted to do a bar concept," notes Webb, whose salons tally one million blowouts a year. Hence the long marble counter, flat screens with chick flicks on repeat, and a menu of hairstyles named after drinks: The Manhattan, Southern Comfort, and Uptini.

Family Affair

Webb's husband is in charge of branding (hello, yellow!) and her brother handles the business side of things. "It's so nice
that my brother and I were able to find success together," Webb says. The trio is currently working on building
a better travel-size
hair dryer.
