Driver With 'Disfigured Ear' Sought In Hit-Run In Wawa Parking Lot

CLAYMONT, Del. (CBS) -- Police are searching for a suspect with a disfigured ear for his role in a hit and run in the parking lot of a convenience store in Delaware.

The incident happened at about 8:30 p.m. on February 2nd at the Wawa on Philadelphia Pike in Claymont.

According to investigators, the victim, a 43-year-old female, was walking through the store's parking lot when she was struck by a car that was pulling away from a gas pump.

Police say the driver drove around the victim and fled from the parking lot.

The victim was taken to Wilmington Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

The driver is described as a white male, approximately 6'0" with a thin build. The suspect had short hair, a disfigured left ear and was last seen wearing a black-hooded sweatshirt.
