Driver In Wall Speedway Crash Identified

WALL, N.J. (AP) — The driver killed in a crash at Wall Stadium Speedway has been identified as a 21-year-old Belford woman.

New Jersey state police say Amanda Gambacorto died in the crash during a race clinic at about 12:30 p.m. Saturday. Gambacorto was driving a three-quarter midget car when it struck a wall.

She was pronounced dead at Jersey Shore Medical Center.

No other injuries were reported in the crash.

The track located at the Jersey shore canceled its race schedule Saturday night. A monster truck show and demolition derby was scheduled for Sunday afternoon.
