Drinking Water Advisory Warning Lifted in Montgomery County

EAST NORRITON, Pa. (CBS) -- It's safe to drink the water again in Montgomery County, Pa.

A boil-water advisory has been lifted for 18,000 residents in East Norriton, West Norriton, Lower Providence, Whitpain, Worcester, and Whitemarsh Townships.

Pennsylvania American Water Company says two consecutive days of water tests showed acceptable bacteria levels.

Residents on Tuesday were advised to boil their drinking water as a precaution, after the Norristown water treatment plant was unable to keep up with customer demand.

No one was reported sickened.
