Drexel Tops Towson 55-41 To End Seven Game Losing Skid

TOWSON, Md. (AP) — Damion Lee scored seven of his 16 points in the final minutes to help Drexel preserve its first Northeast Conference win of the season in a 55-41 victory at Towson Thursday night.

The Dragons dropped their first two conference games at home, falling to Elon and William & Mary.

John Davis hit the second of two free throws with just under three minutes left to pull Towson within five, 44-39, but Lee knocked down a 3 with 2:20 left to play and followed that up with a dunk to push the Drexel lead to 10 points while the defense shut the Tigers down the rest of the way.

Drexel (3-11, 1-3 NEC) shot just 35.3 percent from the floor in the first half, but recovered to shoot 40.5 percent for the game (17 of 42).

Walter Foster and John Davis both scored 10 points to lead Towson (8-8, 1-2).
