Drexel Defeats James Madison 78-60

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Chris Fouch scored 26 points and Rodney Williams added 14 points along with 10 rebounds as Drexel defeated James Madison 78-60 on Saturday.

James Madison (8-16, 3-7 Colonial Athletic Association) was without its leading scorer, Andre Nation, who took a leave for personal reasons. Nation is averaging 17 points per game. Charles Cooke led the Dukes with 18 points with Ron Curry adding 17.

Drexel (13-10, 5-5) was also missing a player. Kazembe Abif is out for the season after suffering a fractured left hand in practice on Thursday. He will have surgery next week. Abif was averaging 6.6 rebounds and 7.2 points per game.

Frantz Massenat added 16 points for the Dragons, who shot 54.7 percent. Fouch is now fifth all-time in Drexel scoring at 1,623, passing Bob Stephens and Mike DeRocckis.

Leading by one, the Dragons went on a 21-6 run to go up 60-44 with 7:50 remaining.
