Dozens Become US Citizens At NJ Court House

MOUNT HOLLY, N.J. (CBS) -- Dozens of people from all over the world come together in new jersey to officially become US citizens.

Every year about 1 million people migrate into the United States.

"To have a better life, a better job, better future for me, my kids and my family."

In 2010 Marica Garcia moved from the Philippines to United states in pursuit of that better life.

She was one of 25 people naturalized during a ceremony Thursday morning at the Mount Holly Courthouse.

"Today is one of the happiest days of my life."

Marica says it's a surreal feeling to finally become a US citizens.

"I'm so excited, at the same time nervous because it's a long process."

Marica says she cannot wait to travel the country to see different places and meet new people.
