Doug Pederson Ranked As Worst NFL Head Coach

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Last month new Eagles head coach Doug Pederson was ranked as the third worst coach in the league by USA Today.

This week, an NFL.com list ranked him dead last. At least Elliot Harrison acknowledges it's mainly due to a lack of experience.

"This isn't fair," Harrison writes. "Pederson hasn't so much as coached one game yet. But yeah, he offers no NFL head-coaching experience, like some other guys at the bottom of this list."

The Eagles hired Pederson in January, just weeks after firing Chip Kelly. Pederson, 48, is a former Eagles backup quarterback and quarterbacks coach. From 2013-2015, Pederson was the Kansas City Chiefs' offensive coordinator under Andy Reid -- who coached Pederson in 1999 while he was playing in Philly.

Now, Pederson is dealing with a controversial three-headed quarterback situation with starter Sam Bradford, veteran backup Chase Daniel, and rookie Carson Wentz.
