Doug Pederson On The Draft: 'Trust The Process'
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- It looks like the Philadelphia Eagles may be channeling their inner Sam Hinkie.
New Eagles head coach Doug Pederson, along with head personnel man Howie Roseman, spoke to the media on Monday morning. When asked about the draft, Pederson used a slogan 76ers fans have debated ad nauseam over the past three years: trust the process.
Doug says the #Eagles have to "trust the process" when it comes to the draft.

So with the eighth overall pick in the first-round of the NFL Draft, what is the Eagles' process?
When asked about the quarterback position in particularly, according to Eliot Shorr-Parks and Jeff McLane, Pederson admitted that Paxton Lynch is more of a project and isn't a likely selection for the Eagles at pick No. 8.
Doug says Lynch is for a team that wants to develop a QB, not play right away. #Eagles

Doug, reading between the lines of his answer, doesn't seem to think Paxton Lynch is a good pick at 8. #Eagles

Doug Pederson mentioned other needs when asked about possibility of taking Paxton Lynch at No. 8. Said could depend upon QB need.

Pederson, via Zach Berman, values Carson Wentz and Jared Goff as the top-two QB prospects, with Lynch being a close third.
Doug Pederson said Jared Goff and Carson Wentz are "pretty even, in my opinion." Adds "not much separation." Said P. Lynch "isn't that far."
