Double Shooting Outside North Philadelphia Bar

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — Police say, two armed security guards were involved in a shooting outside a North Philadelphia bar Saturday morning in the Hunting Park section of the city.

Around 1:00 a.m. 5 males exited the Triple Play Car Bar on the 1600 block of Hunting Park Avenue. Police say, three of the males at that time went across the street to a silver Nissan Mixima parked near the corner of Hunting Park and Germantown Avenues, the other two men went the opposite direction.

Police say, the three males began to fire gunshots in the direction of the bar from across the street, the security guards then returned fire at the three men.

Authorities say a 30-year-old male was shot once in the stomach. Following the shooting, the man drove himself to Einstein Hospital, authorities say the man is in critical condition. The second victim, a 31-year-old male was shot once in his left angle and remains in stable condition.

At the scene, multiple vehicles were hit by gunfire.
