Donovan McNabb On Chip Kelly: 'If You're Not Winning, Next Man Up'

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- It's about time for a Donovan McNabb newsworthy quote, don't you think?

Number 5 ("will always love you") visited his Alma mater, Syracuse, on Tuesday to speak at a trade show. As chronicled by Chris Carlson of Syracuse.com, McNabb addressed everything from his DUI, to Syracuse football, to concussions, to---of course---Chip Kelly and the Philadelphia Eagles.

And the polarizing QB, of course, referenced his success as Eagles QB while putting the pressure on Kelly.

"Well, he better win soon," McNabb said via Syracuse.com. "You talk about the tenure I had, over a decade of winning successfully, making it to the playoffs. First round meant nothing to us. It was second round, NFC Championship or Super Bowl."

Kelly has begun his NFL head coaching career with back-to-back 10 win seasons, including a playoff birth in year one. And only two offenses have finished top-five in yards and points in each of the last two seasons---the Denver Broncos and the Eagles.

However, after overhauling his roster, Kelly's 3-4 start in 2015 has created a pitchfork mentality among fans, analysts, and I guess former players.

"[Kelly] has had a top five offense, but he hasn't had any playoff wins to show for it," McNabb said. "We can talk about how smart you are and the numbers you're putting up but Philadelphia is used to winning. If you're not winning, it's going to be next man up."
