Diocese Of Camden Files For Bankruptcy Protection

CAMDEN, N.J. (CBS) -- The Diocese of Camden has filed for bankruptcy protection. Bishop Dennis Sullivan said in a letter released Thursday night that the decision was due to the combined impact of clergy sex abuse claims and the pandemic.

The bishop says the filing will not directly impact schools, parishes or pension plans.
